Jason is our CEO, based in our Cromwell Office. He brings his wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience within the private and public sectors at an executive management level to the team.

With over 30 years in the planning, spatial, environmental, and engineering space, Jason is no stranger to the ever-changing industry we work in. Before this role, Jason was the CEO of a local environmental and geotechnical business in Central Otago, Southland , and Canterbury, and prior to that, the NZ Director of Operations (Environmental Spatial, Planning and Water Engineering) for a large global consultancy.

Jason is practical and people-focused, and it is his passion for our industry that makes him a great fit for our business.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, farming, classic cars, and anything outdoors, from fishing, hunting, boating, to gold mining and prospecting!

Kathryn Hooper is an Executive Director and a founding Director of Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro's New Plymouth office, Kathryn leads the firm's strategic direction and its most complex consenting work.

Kathryn has over 25 years' experience as an environmental planner, spanning senior private-sector roles and regulatory positions in monitoring and enforcement. She is an experienced Environment Court expert witness and provides strategic leadership on Resource Management Act (RMA) consenting pathways for large-scale land and urban development, infrastructure, minerals, petroleum, and agricultural projects. Her work is known for navigating regulatory complexity through rigorous public consultation, stakeholder engagement, and environmental compliance.

Kathryn holds a Master's degree in Natural Resource Management (Applied Science) and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management, both from Central Queensland University. She is a Full Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI).

Kathryn also brings more than two decades of leadership in Health, Safety, and Quality Management and is responsible for Landpro's ISO 9001:2015 Quality, Health & Safety (QHS) Management System. She champions innovation in planning practice, including the use of digital tools, data-driven insights, and AI-enabled systems to improve decision-making, compliance, and project delivery.

Outside Landpro, Kathryn chairs the Board of Trustees for Taranaki Women's Refuge. She is a proud New Plymouth local — and frequently reminds the team that Taranaki clocks more sunshine hours than Central Otago. When she's not working, she's usually on an outdoor adventure or deep into a renovation project.

Born and raised in Gore, Mike started out his surveying career with the Royal New Zealand Navy, training in the Hydrographic branch of the Navy. After numerous deployments around New Zealand and the South Pacific gaining experience in all aspects of Hydrographic Surveying, Mike left the navy to start a role in a survey consultancy firm back in the south.

He then moved into a mining role at one of New Zealand’s largest gold mines, before heading overseas to work on a variety of projects, including Oil and Gas, Railway, Roading and civil projects. At the start of 2008 Mike and his family returned to New Zealand choosing Cromwell as their final destination and commencing work for Landpro as a Senior Surveyor.

In April 2012 Mike became a director in the company and along with Kate and Kathryn strives to provide the level of service and detail of care for his clients that he would expect himself. With over 20 years in the survey industry you can rest assured that Mike and his team of surveyors will provide the right solution for your project.

Living in Central Otago, Mike and his family make the most of the recreational activities that the region has to offer and will often be found on a mountain bike or set of skis or simply relaxing down at the lake, that is when he’s not off fighting fires with the local fire brigade.

Originally born and bred in Taranaki, then lived in Central Otago since 2006, until 2025 when she and her family relocated to Wellington to take up the role of CEO at Horticulture NZ.

Kate is one of the founding directors who opened the business in July 2007.

Kate is a graduate from Victoria University with a degree in Geography and Political Science, and since this time has predominantly worked in the private sector as a resource management planner and strategic advisor. Kate has a strong background in planning and project management in the extractive industries, including Mining and Oil and Gas, and in more recent years has been heavily involved with irrigation development and consenting, and consenting and consulting work for the primary production industry.

Kate is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM), the Resource Management Law Association of New Zealand (RMLA), and the institute of directors NZ amongst other memberships.

With over 12 years’ experience in the aerial surveying industry, including work across Africa and the Middle East, Clifford brings a deep, hands-on understanding of the full aerial survey workflow—from data capture and piloting through to processing and analysis.

Clifford joined the business as Technical Lead for Aerial Surveying, where he is responsible for planning data acquisition, coordinating field teams, and overseeing the delivery of accurate, high-quality geospatial products. His focus lies in optimising technical workflows, refining data quality, and ensuring every project meets both client expectations and internal standards.

With a strong interest in complex geospatial datasets, Clifford enjoys the challenge of solving technical problems and improving systems behind the scenes—where detail, precision, and a methodical mindset make all the difference.

Outside of work, he’s a keen squash player, a fan of live rock music, and always up for a pub night with pizza and a cold beer. He has a serious weakness for chocolate and rates a good massage as the best way to unwind after a busy week.

Caroline has a wealth of leadership and mentorship that she brings to the Landpro business services team. She blends her people skills and strong financial background to achieve great things in her national manager role.

Rochelle Wessels is the National Manager – Planning, Environment and Farm Environmental at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro’s Cromwell office, Rochelle leads the Planning, Environment and Farm Environmental (PEF) team of 20 staff. Rochelle is responsible for aligning service delivery, technical quality, and team performance across New Zealand within financial and operational targets.

With over 18 years’ experience across New Zealand and Australia, Rochelle has held a range of environmental science, consulting, and leadership roles. Rochelle’s expertise spans hydrology (surface and groundwater systems), water quality management, resource management planning (RMA processes and policy), environmental compliance, environmental monitoring, multidisciplinary project delivery, and science communication (translating complex data into practical advice). Rochelle drives strategic direction, resource planning, and client relationships, while supporting the delivery of complex environmental and planning projects.

Rochelle began her career in Australia as a Water Resource Officer, before returning to New Zealand to continue her work in hydrology and water quality. Over time, she has progressed into senior leadership roles, building and leading high-performing teams, and working alongside clients to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and deliver practical, outcomes-focused solutions.

Rochelle holds a Bachelor of Science from Waikato University, Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Deakin University specialising in groundwater and surface water interactions, and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Primary) from Massey University. She is recognised for her proactive and collaborative leadership style, with a strong focus on strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and developing team capability.

Outside Landpro, Rochelle is usually on an outdoor adventure or deep into a renovation project.

Chris Rendall is a Principal Planner and Mining Programme Lead at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro's New Plymouth office, he leads planning work across the North Island while supporting Landpro’s national services in the energy, mining, and quarrying sectors. He has relating to the planning frameworks in all regions of New Zealand and has worked with many district and city plans.

With over 15 years’ experience, Chris leads complex planning and consenting projects, overseeing delivery from site selection through to post-consent implementation and design changes. He works closely with clients to navigate regulatory pathways, manage environmental risks, and achieve efficient consenting outcomes, while contributing to team capability and consistent technical quality. Chris brings expertise in resource management planning (RMA processes and policy), energy and mining developments, consenting and approvals strategy, and environmental and statutory planning across multiple legislative frameworks. His work spans the full project lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility through to operational compliance and optimisation.

Chris previously worked at the Department of Conservation, where he supported its engagement in RMA processes across the country including establishing a framework to support DOC determine its advocacy priorities. He also contributed to the development of legislation, regulation and national policy including in areas of renewable energy, aquaculture, freshwater, and biodiversity. This experience, alongside his work in consultancy, has given him a strong understanding of the broader regulatory landscape, including the Conservation Act, Crown Minerals Act, Wildlife Act, and fast-track consenting processes.

Chris holds a Master of Planning (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Otago. He has also completed specialised training in project management, nutrient management, and the DOC Māori immersion programme. He is recognised for his practical, outcomes-focused approach and ability to work alongside clients to deliver robust, defensible planning solutions.

Outside of Landpro, Chris enjoys spending time with his young family and has been actively involved in professional planning and mining organisations, as well as community sport and fundraising initiatives.

 

Christina Raiton is a Senior Planner and Environmental Consultant at Landpro, at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro’s Cromwell office, she delivers high-quality planning and environmental outcomes for clients while maintaining strong relationships navigating the interface between agricultural systems and council regulatory requirements in the Otago and Southland regions.

With over eight years’ experience, Christina brings expertise in hydrology (surface and groundwater systems), environmental management, rural planning (RMA processes and compliance), and science communication (translating complex data into practical advice). She is particularly skilled at simplifying technical information to enable confident, informed decision-making. She works closely with landowners and businesses to interpret complex scientific and regulatory requirements, develop practical solutions, and support consenting and long-term environmental planning outcomes.

Christina has built her career within the environmental consulting sector, developing a strong understanding of New Zealand’s agricultural landscape and the regulatory environment that supports it. Her work focuses on aligning farm system performance with environmental expectations, supporting both compliance and longer-term goals.

Christina holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Otago. She is recognised for her strong technical capability, practical approach, and ability to build trusted relationships with clients across the rural sector.

Outside of Landpro, Christina enjoys spending time outdoors walking her dog, exploring local trails, and making the most of the South Island lifestyle, including trips to Marlborough to fish in the Pelorus Sound.

Claire is a Principal Planner and Water Programme Lead at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro’s Wānaka office, Claire leads Landpro’s technical planning work in the water space, delivering high-quality outcomes for clients across irrigation, stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water projects.

With over 19 years’ experience, Claire’s expertise spans water resource planning (allocation and infrastructure), environmental impact assessment (effects assessment and mitigation), integrated catchment management, and stakeholder engagement (consultation and approvals). At Landpro, Claire leads complex planning and environmental assessment work, supporting multidisciplinary projects from initial scoping through to consenting and implementation. She works closely with clients, stakeholders, and councils to navigate complex regulatory processes, including presenting evidence at hearings and Environment Court processes, while ensuring robust, practical outcomes are achieved.

Claire has built her career delivering complex infrastructure and environmental projects, with a strong focus on a practical, solutions-focused approach. Her experience enables her to effectively manage competing environmental, social, and cultural considerations, supporting clients to achieve balanced and defensible outcomes.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Environmental Management from the University of Otago and a Postgraduate Certificate in Integrated Catchment Management from the University of British Colombia**.**

Outside of Landpro, Claire lives in Wānaka with her husband and two boys and enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly biking and being on the water. She is also the President of Netball Upper Clutha.

Nathan is a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor and joined the company’s Cromwell office in 2012. He began his surveying career in 1995 working for a small firm specialising in engineering and industrial measurement survey. While working he studied part time towards the New Zealand Certificate in Land Surveying and graduated in 1998.

He then moved to a Land Surveying firm and gained a wealth of experience in Cadastral Surveying before heading to Dunedin to study towards his bachelor’s degree. Nathan graduated with a Bachelor of Surveying with First Class Honours in 2004. He stayed in Otago and proceeded to gain experience in highway design, land development engineering and construction. He has since passed his Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board requirements and admitted as a full member to the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors. Nathan is now working towards becoming a Registered Professional Surveyor.

Nathan brings over 20 years of experience in a variety of survey disciplines to the company. He has worked on a number of large land development projects including stage 1 and 2 of the Millbrook Land to the west development and also held a leading role in geometrical design and construction of the Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell.

Nathan now calls Cromwell home after living in there for the past 10 years. He is an avid mountain biker, hockey player and motorsport enthusiast.

Based in our New Plymouth office, Ian joined Landpro in 2019 as Survey Manager, bringing over two decades of surveying experience both in New Zealand and abroad.

After graduating from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Surveying, Ian began his career in London, working as an Engineering Surveyor on large-scale infrastructure projects including Canary Wharf and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. In these roles, he provided horizontal and vertical control and liaised with construction teams to ensure design accuracy.

Since returning to New Zealand in 2004, Ian has led a wide range of projects across cadastral and topographical surveying, subdivision and 3 Waters design, project management, drone mapping, and reality data capture. His specialist skills include civil and engineering surveying, 3D laser scanning, and drone-based aerial surveying.

Ian is a member of Survey and Spatial NZ and has training in LUV operation, chainsaw use, and drone management under Civil Aviation Rules Part 101 & 102.

Outside of work, Ian enjoys exploring the outdoors and contributing his technical knowledge to complex surveying challenges across a variety of sectors.

Will Nicholson is a Principal Environmental Consultant and Planner at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro’s Wānaka office, Will delivers high-quality outcomes for clients across a range of environmental and planning projects, with particular expertise in erosion and sediment control.

With over 15 years’ experience in New Zealand and internationally, Will’s expertise spans resource management planning (RMA consenting and approvals), water management (allocation and infrastructure), erosion and sediment control (design and implementation), and environmental management for civil and land development projects. Will leads complex environmental and planning projects, supporting clients through regional and district consenting processes and ensuring robust environmental management practices are implemented on the ground. He works across the full project lifecycle, including securing water permits for irrigation, storage, domestic supply, and hydroelectric generation, as well as developing and implementing erosion and sediment control plans (ESCPs) and environmental management plans (EMPs) for development sites.

Will has provided environmental consulting services on large-scale civil, transport, and land development projects across the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand. His experience across multiple jurisdictions, combined with his strong technical capability, enables him to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions for complex environmental challenges.

Will holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Environmental Management, is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP), and a recognised Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP), certified to implement erosion and sediment control on large, high-risk sites. He is also a Practitioner member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals and an Associate member of the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI). He is known for his pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and his ability to translate technical requirements into effective on-site outcomes.

Outside of Landpro, Will lives in Lake Hāwea with his family and enjoys spending time outdoors, including fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and making the most of the local trails and lake.

Eamon Farrell is a Field Hydrologist at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro’s Wānaka office, Eamon supports the delivery of environmental monitoring programmes, bringing extensive field expertise and a practical, solutions-focused approach to data collection and site implementation.

 

With over 10 years’ experience in the environmental monitoring sector, Eamon’s expertise spans hydrology site design and installation, flow monitoring (river gauging and meter verification), water quality sampling, bathymetric surveying, and advanced field technologies (including drone and RTK surveying). At Landpro, Eamon works across hydrological monitoring projects, including the design and installation of monitoring sites, river gauging, and groundwater and surface water quality sampling. He plays a key role in ensuring high-quality, reliable data collection, while also supporting specialised work such as flood warning systems, bathymetric surveys, and remote or complex site access projects. Eamon is also an experienced skipper for lake monitoring programmes and contributes to data management and analysis to support robust client reporting.

 

Prior to joining Landpro in 2026, Eamon worked as a Hydrologist at Gisborne District Council for a decade, where he developed extensive experience in environmental monitoring, data management, and field programme delivery. This background has given him a strong understanding of regulatory monitoring requirements and best practice field methodologies.

Eamon holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Victoria University of Wellington and a Diploma in Field Hydrology. He has also completed specialist training in water and environmental sampling. He is recognised for his practical problem-solving approach, calm decision-making, and ability to build strong working relationships with communities, contractors, and landowners.

 

 

Zoe McCormack is a Senior Planner and District Programme Lead at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro’s Cromwell office, Zoe leads resource management planning work across a range of projects, including preparation of consent applications, coordination of technical inputs, and client advisory services.

 

With over 10 years’ experience, Zoe plays a key role in delivering practical, solutions-focused outcomes, working closely with clients, councils, and multidisciplinary teams to navigate complex regulatory frameworks. She also contributes to collaborative, cross-discipline projects that integrate planning, farm environmental, and GIS expertise to support catchment-scale and farm-level outcomes, with a focus on connection between people, land and water. Zoe’s expertise spans resource consenting and planning processes, rural land use and environmental management, stakeholder engagement, spatial and catchment-based planning approaches and district planning. Zoe has been with Landpro since 2015, building extensive experience across Canterbury, Otago and Southland.

 

Zoe holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management and Planning from Lincoln University and brings a practical, grounded approach to planning, informed by both technical knowledge and real-world agricultural experience.

 

Outside Landpro, Zoe is actively involved in running the cherry orchard that she and her partner own close to Cromwell. She enjoys cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. Zoe enjoys spending time with her young family, skiing in the winter and sitting lakeside, boating in the summer.

Caera Joyce is a Graduate Planner and Environmental Consultant at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Landpro's New Plymouth office, Caera supports both planning and environmental projects, contributing to resource consenting, and technical project delivery.

With 2 years’ experience, Caera is involved in preparing consent applications, undertaking research and analysis, and supporting client engagement, bringing a practical and well-informed approach to early-career project work. Based in New Plymouth, Caera works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, fit-for-purpose outcomes for clients. Caera’s expertise spans resource management planning, environmental assessment and reporting, compliance co-ordination and geospatial analysis (GIS and mapping). Caera also has a strong interest in land development and land use capability planning approaches, supporting both policy understanding and on-the-ground application.

Caera has a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Otago. Caera brings a collaborative and detail-focused approach to her work, with a strong interest in developing practical, science-based solutions that support sustainable land use and environmental outcomes.

Outside Landpro, Caera enjoys fishing off the rocks in Opunake but spends most of her time deep in renovations at her “fixer upper” first home.

Harriet Smith is a Farm Environmental Consultant of Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Moeraki, North Otago, Harriet works closely with farmers to support environmental compliance and on-farm planning.

Harriet has over 8 years’ experience in the agricultural sector, originally in the UK and most recently in New Zealand. She has extensive experience working alongside farmers to optimise system performance while meeting environmental and commercial objectives. She brings a practical, systems-based approach to her work, underpinned by hands-on farm experience and a deep understanding of primary production. She has particular strengths in farm systems analysis and facilitating conversations that support change. Harriet is skilled at translating technical information into clear, practical guidance, enabling farmers and growers to confidently implement good management practices and respond to evolving regulatory requirements.

Her career has spanned both the UK and New Zealand, where she has worked across a range of roles in farming operations, advisory, and agribusiness. Most recently, she managed poultry farming operations across New Zealand, leading teams, overseeing compliance and audit requirements, and integrating practical farm management with financial performance.

 

Harriet holds a Master’s Degree in Poultry Science from the University of Edinburgh, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with Livestock Production from the Royal Agricultural University. Harriet is passionate about supporting sustainable primary production and takes a collaborative approach to delivering positive environmental outcomes, both at the individual farm level and across wider catchments.

Outside Landpro, Harriet enjoys spending time with her young family and friends. She enjoys riding horses, spending time in the outdoors and just generally enjoying all the amazing things NZ has to offer, including the food!

Jade Fitzek is a Senior Planner and Farm Environmental Consultant at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Invercargill, Jade works closely with farmers to support environmental compliance and on-farm planning.

With over 7 years’ experience, Jade works closely with rural clients, supporting environmental planning, freshwater farm plans, and resource consenting. Jade leads client engagement and advisory work across farm systems, ensuring regulatory requirements are met while delivering practical, farm-fit solutions. Jade also contributes to consenting processes and works collaboratively with regulators and stakeholders to achieve efficient and compliant outcomes. Jade’s expertise spans farm environmental planning (including freshwater farm plans), rural land use and compliance, resource consenting and planning processes, and stakeholder engagement with farmers, regulators, and industry groups.

Before joining Landpro, Jade built experience working at the Southland Regional Council, developing a strong understanding of the practical and regulatory challenges facing landowners. Jade continues to apply this experience to support clients in navigating changing environmental requirements and achieving sustainable outcomes.

Jade holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago and is an approved freshwater farm plan certifier, working across dairy and sheep and beef systems in Southland.

 

Outside Landpro, Jade spends her time competing her three horses across a range of equestrian disciplines. She is also the Secretary of Bichwood Hunt and the Treasurer of Eventing Southland.

Lara Deans is a Graduate Planner at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Wānaka, Lara supports resource management planning work across a range of projects, including preparation of consent applications, and coordination of technical inputs.

Lara brings a strong foundation in resource management, sustainable land use, and environmental policy, supported by a well-rounded academic and rural background and practical experience. Lara demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills, alongside a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Lara has recent experience with Todd Energy, where she supported stakeholder engagement, including working with iwi and project partners, coordinating communications, and assisting with documentation and compliance processes. This has strengthened her understanding of regulatory frameworks and the importance of building positive relationships across projects. Lara has a particular interest in environmental planning, sustainable development, and working collaboratively with communities. She is motivated to continue developing her technical capability while contributing to practical, client-focused solutions.

Lara is currently completing a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Environmental Planning, at the University of Waikato. She is recognised for her strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Outside of Landpro, Lara enjoys baking, swimming lengths at her local pool, spending time on her family farm, getting out for walks, and exploring all that Wānaka has to offer.

Rachel Beaton is an Intermediate Planner and Farm Environmental Consultant at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in Dunedin, Rachel works across both planning and farm environmental programmes, supporting clients through resource consenting, freshwater farm plans, and regulatory compliance.

With over 5 years’ experience, Rachel contributes to a wide range of projects across environmental planning and farm environmental management. Her work includes preparing consent applications, coordinating technical inputs, and supporting client engagement to achieve practical outcomes that align with both regulatory requirements and on-farm objectives. Rachel works closely with clients, councils, and multidisciplinary teams to navigate complex planning processes, primarily within the rural sector. Her expertise spans resource management planning and resource consenting, freshwater farm planning and compliance, rural land use and environmental management, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory processes.

Before joining Landpro, Rachel gained experience in resource management roles within local government, developing a strong understanding of consent processes, policy frameworks, and regulatory decision-making. This background supports Rachel’s ability to provide practical, well-informed advice that bridges policy requirements with real-world application.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science (Land, Water and Environment) from Lincoln University, a multidisciplinary programme encompassing environmental science, hydrology, soil science, land management, freshwater systems, and resource management. This foundation supports her understanding of the environmental, regulatory, and operational factors shaping rural land use and development, alongside a practical, solutions-focused approach that helps clients achieve compliant, sustainable, and efficient outcomes across their projects.

 

Outside Landpro, Rachel enjoys getting outdoors, spending time with family, lending a hand on the family sheep, beef and dairy support farm, and keeping busy with renovation, gardening and community projects.

Tanya Copeland is a Principal Planner at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based in the Cromwell office, Tanya provides senior leadership across a wide range of district and rural planning projects, including resource consent applications, policy interpretation, strategic planning advice and complex development proposals.

With more than 15 years' experience in resource management, Tanya has held senior planning roles in both local government and private consultancy. Her background includes extensive experience assessing and managing complex residential, rural and infrastructure projects, advising on planning policy and regulatory frameworks, and supporting clients through resource consent processes. Having worked on both the regulatory and advisory sides of the planning profession, Tanya brings a balanced perspective to her work, combining a strong understanding of council expectations with practical, solution-focused advice for clients.

Tanya holds a Bachelor of Science from Victoria University of Wellington. She complements her planning expertise with practical industry experience in farming, nutrient management and real estate, providing valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing landowners and developers.

Outside of Landpro, Tanya is actively involved in running the dairy farm that she and her husband own in the Ida Valley. She enjoys trail running, swimming and spending time with her young family outdoors. Tanya is also committed to her local community, volunteering with sports clubs and helping create outdoor adventure opportunities for young people in Alexandra.

Tim Muller is a Senior Environmental Consultant at Landpro, a New Zealand environmental planning and resource management consultancy with offices in Taranaki, Cromwell, and Wānaka. Based remotely, Tim specialises in environmental data science and analysis, supporting projects across water quality, contaminated land, and planning.

Tim has over 15 years’ experience in contaminated land, environmental chemistry, and water quality, leading site investigations, data analysis, and consenting support across a range of projects. Tim oversees environmental monitoring programmes—including groundwater, surface water, and landfill gas—and delivers risk assessments and practical remediation strategies. Tim works closely with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions that are scientifically robust, cost-effective, and fit for purpose. Tim’s expertise spans contaminated land (including asbestos in soil), water quality and hydrology, landfill gas and environmental monitoring, hydrogeology (groundwater systems), environmental due diligence, and geospatial analysis (GIS and spatial data interpretation).

Before joining Landpro, Tim was an Environmental Scientist at Babbage Consultants, where Tim worked on contaminated site investigations, monitoring, and consenting across industrial, agricultural, and infrastructure projects. Tim has extensive experience supporting landfill remediation, groundwater take consenting, and catchment-scale data analysis, including work on the Upper Clutha Integrated Catchment Management Plan. Earlier work has also included complex site investigations for historic industrial sites and rural properties with contamination risks.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours, First Class) in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Otago. Tim is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) and a Licensed Asbestos Assessor for asbestos in soil, and is an active member of the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand and the Australasian Land and Groundwater Association.
